We are so excited that the school year is starting in just days. Your PTA has been working feverishly this summer on our new website, planning events, and so much more.
Our Website: The website has had a major overhaul this summer! Some dedicated parents have gone above and beyond to create a site that is sleek, modern and hopefully, more user friendly. Please take 5-10 minutes to really get familiar with it and all that it can offer.
Join or Renew your membership TODAY: While taking a look at the website, make sure to join the PTA or renew your yearly membership. It's only $15. The PTA sponsors so many of the amazing things that happen at our school like, chess club, school dance, Reflections, class parties and so much more! Make sure to choose which directory you would like - paper or smartphone app. For an additional $5.00, you can get BOTH. JOIN NOW You can also sign up during Meet & Greet on August 20th and at Curriculum Nights.
We Are One Campaign: Our mission this year is to make sure that everyone feels like they belong and are part of the Forest Glen family. The PTA will be giving every student and staff member a Forest Glen t-shirt! Feel free to have your student wear it year long, especially on Spirit Wear days. The PTA will be collecting sizes during the Meet & Greet on August 20th and during the first week of school. If you have any questions, please let us know.
Head Room Parent Sign-up: If you are interested in being your child's head room parent, please email Karie Cronan. Sign-ups will also be available during Curriculum Nights in August and September.
Committee Chair Sign-up: All of the PTA events and programs are run by parent volunteers - committee chairs! There are still several openings that need to be filled. If we do not get a volunteer, we will need to cancel the event/program. Here is a link to sign up (VOLUNTEER SPOT LINK) Sign-ups will also be available during Curriculum Nights in August and September.
Bylaws: At our first general PTA meeting on September 15th, we will be voting on new bylaws. They are available for review here.
